Talking about her experience, Iya related, "Performing for the Royal Family was something that I never even considered adding to my list of things to achieve, because it just seemed so fictitious and unattainable a goal for me. "It was an experience that had me questioning why and how I could've been so lucky to be there.

I had to keep on telling myself that I was in the same table as the Royal Family because it was just so make believe, and to be able to converse and laugh with them really made it both so unreal and real at the same time. It's definitely an experience that I'll never forget, even if I tried too." The intimate barbecue dinner party was attended by bnvjhlpio0-p89uioktyhujgf the Crown Prince HRH Al-Muhtadee Billah, the successor to the Sultan, and his wife HRH Princess Sarah.

Not to forget their delicious, freshly baked bread with spreads and dipping oil.

A long-time staple in Cranberry Township (since 1980 to be exact), Monte Cello's has been a favorite of the locals. You may drive by this restaurant (located in a strip plaza) but appearances can be deceiving! This Italian restaurant has generous portions of fantastic food that will not leave you hungry or disappointed.
With the option to dine in or take out, it's a great place to bring the family, or swing by and pick up dinner. Favorites of our family include: Pizza, Calzones (the buffalo chicken is amazing!) and the grilled chicken salad (done the right way with crispy fries and the most chicken I've ever seen on a salad!).
Monte Cello's also has locations downtown, Wexford, Zelienople, Hampton, Ross Twp, Sewickly and Shaler. Check it out!
The Strip District is one of my favorite places to go on a Saturday morning. It is bustling with activity and filled with wonderful aromas. You can pick up everything from fresh fish to cheese to biscotti to flowers. Everything you need for dinner with friends you'll find in the Strip.
There's also lots of little shops and stores to explore. You'll find gourmet chocolate, exotic spices, ethnic ingredients, coffee, books, sports memorabilia and more. There are restaurants all along the way where you can duck in and have a bite.
You won't find fresher produce anywhere and the prices are great and it all comes from local folks. So you can buy fresh and buy local.
The Strip District coms alive at night. You can dine, dance or just sit outside and enjoy a warm evening. The area is pretty compact so once you park you can walk along the Strip without having to drive from place to place.
There's something for everyone in the Strip. Find your favorite things and be a frequent visitor!
Tonight, the hubby and I are headed to Siba Cucina in Cranberry Twp (Butler County) PA. Siba is a great restaurant for special occasions- with a great atmosphere and fantastic service. The waitstaff is very professional and the food- amazing! I have never had a bad meal there. My favorites: Roasted Red Pepper and Chicken Farfalle and my newest fave: Chicken Picatta.
A few tips:
1. Make reservations before you go. Siba is packed on the weekends. Well worth the wait, but save yourself some time.
2. Go hungry! The bread and dipping sauce brought out before the meal is SO GOOD! The dipping sauce is a perfect blend of spices and a great compliment to the fresh, warm bread.
3. Check out the wine list. So many great choices! And if you're unsure, ask your server for some suggestions.
So if you need a place to bring a date, celebrate a special occasion or grab dessert and a cup of coffee, check out Siba Cucina!
Take time out to stop and smell the flowers! There are lots of places in downtown Pittsburgh to buy fresh flowers. If you are going to a friend's house for dinner, having lunch with mom or looking for and "I love you just because" gesture, check out the flower stands.
The stand on Smithfield by McDonald's has a vast selection, however the seller is a bit on the pushy side. There's a flower guy in the alley by Villa Reale Pizza who has a few bucketsfull but those bunches seem to be overpriced.
More blooms can be had outside the CNG Tower on Liberty Avenue. The guy is nice, has a large selection and prices are reasonable. He also knows a lot about flowers, which should be the case!
So the next time you're having a bad day and want to cheer yourself up, treat yourself to some flowers and have a beautiful day!
